Matthew Asciutto, DVM

Founder, Director

Emergency Veterinarian

Matthew Asciutto spent many years as a teacher, chemist, and professional improvisor before becoming a veterinarian. Since graduating from The University of Tennessee in 2017, he has primarily worked as a traveling emergency veterinarian within specialty/referral centers across the country. In 2021 he and his partner packed the wagon and traveled west when she got an amazing job at CSU. When not at inkwell, Matt can be found spotting busses and "weeooo"s around town with his partner, Lindsay and their 2 year old son, Luca.

Nina Pappert, DVM, MS

Emergency Veterinarian

Nina Garbino-Pappert's deep dark secret is that she was actually born in Southern California. When she figured out that she could not live in Disneyland when she grew up, she figured the next best option was becoming a veterinarian. Her family moved to Fort Collins when she was 6, and she has spent over three decades calling Fort Collins home. After graduating from CSU, she completed a small animal rotating internship in Denver, dabbled in General Practice, but always felt like the Emergency Room was home. She is excited to be part of the inkwell crew, and to embark on this journey with such wonderful people. She has a cacophony of animals, including dogs, cats, a snake, a fish, a horse, and she helps out with Wildlife Rehab in her spare time.

He then went on to complete an additional year of training in emergency medicine, surgery, internal medicine, and neurology through a rotating internship. He has spent the remainder of his career practicing exclusively in emergency/critical care in 24-hour emergency and specialty referral centers. Dr. Goldrick and his wife share their home with three Labrador Retrievers and a Chihuahua. Outside of work, he enjoys camping, fishing, cooking, gardening, and traveling.
